Inspiration and Salvation
Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior - First and foremost I thank Jesus for my salvation
and for the burden He placed on my heart for the Russian people.
Pastor Fenton Moorhead - Former pastor of Sugar
Creek Baptist Church, Houston Texas. It was in a service, in July of 1992, where he and others
told about what God had done on a mission trip to Russia, that I was given a burden for the Russian
people by the Holy Spirit.
Thank you Fenton for listening to the Holy Spirit and for going to Russia in 1992.
Also thank you for
allowing the team members to speak about what God had done on that trip. It was
the team's witness the Holy Spirit used to convict me over the need for me
to go to Russia that first time, thus putting me on the path to Russian
ministry.
A word of advice to all pastors: always allow your teams time to
tell about what God did on each and every mission trip. This is often times
how God builds the next team or team leader.
Pastor Rick Greene -
Late pastor of Northminster Baptist Church in Conyers, Georgia. Rick was like a brother
to me. He fought cancer for several years and lost the battle, but won the war. He
taught me that prayer was to be the first thing and the last thing done to solve
any problem. Rick was a great dad and wonderful husband, preaching the word without
considering who might get upset. He stomped on Satan's head more than a few times.
Pastor Jeff Benefield - Senior Pastor of Chestnut Mountain Church has consistently taught
the members of CMC to reach out to
the community and to take a stand for Jesus Christ. He has inspired us all to be
more concerned for others than for ourselves. We attended Chestnut Mountain Church
in Flowery Branch, Georgia from July 2000 to July 2009. I wish to thank him and CMC
for their generous support from 2000-2006.
We now attend NewBranch
Church, in Dacula, Georgia. Pastor Ken Rucker encourages the church to be on mission.
If you live in the Dacula, Braselton, Flowery Branch area we would encourage you to visit
NewBranch. You will find a contemporary worship service and expository sermons. Pastor Ken
teaches from the pulpit in the way that I do in small group, by teaching and entire
book of the Bible at a time. Come and visit!
