December 1995 Mission Team to Kolchugino, Russia

This team walked everywhere we went. It was cold and windy. We lost the heat in our apartment for 36 hours.

Patty and Janet let me apologize for not including your last names, but it has been 10 years and I lost your contact information in MS Outlook. Write to me and I will include you last names.

From the beginning we were told not to go on this mission trip. People said we didn't know what we were doing. They said we were crazy. The fact is we didn't know what we were doing and we were crazy, but God protected us and guided us and taught us how to survive in the winter in Russia leading a small team.

Patty was and may still be a teacher of drama in Houston. She taught the three of us many little skits to do. We acted in front of kid's clubs and in classrooms. We were clowns and we were silly.

Janet was and may still be a doctor. She is also a prayer warrior. She learned the skits with us and participated in all of the activities and prayed. After two weeks both she and Janet went home.

Stephanie and I stayed for a month in Kolchugino that year.

This trip was our least effective, mainly because we were new to ministry in general and new to Russian ministry in particular, but God gave us a taste of His work for us in Russia and we have hungered for it ever since.
